Dr. Lysa Pam Posner DVM, DACVAA

Dr Posner has a BS in biochemistry from Purdue University.  She completed her DVM at Cornell University and spent 9 years in private veterinary practice.  She returned to Cornell to complete a Residency in Anesthesiology and completed her board certification with the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. She was on Faculty at Cornell for 5 years and has been on Faculty at North Carolina State University since 2005.  She is currently a Professor of Anesthesiology, the Director of Anesthesia Services, and Anesthesiology Residency Program Director.

Dr. Bill Draper, DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Draper earned his BS in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University and his DVM from Ross University. He was an associate in a Small Animal General Practice in Illinois for a time before matriculating to Texas A&M University for his Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Intership. He then completed a Neurology Specialty Internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. Dr. Draper completed his residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Florida in 2012. Dr. Draper joined the veterinary staff at the VCA Animal Specialty Center of South Carolina in August of 2012.

Dr. Draper is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Neurology sub-specialty. He has completed the requirements for his Neurosurgery Certificate of Training and is permitted to perform the Cervical Disk Arthroplasty (CDA) surgical correction for Cervical Spondylomyelopathy (Wobbler Syndrome). Dr. Draper is the only Board Certified Neurologist/Neurosurgeon in South Carolina offering this technique. Patients with suspected Wobbler Syndrome can be referred to Dr. Draper at the VCA Animal Specialty Center of South Carolina. Dr. Draper has lectured locally, nationally, and internationally at conferences and at academic institutions.

Dr. Draper goes home to his lovely wife Charla, 2 daughters (Vera, 7 years, and Reagan, 5 years), 2 sons (Sully and Porter, 2 year old twins), Axel the family cat, Pete the farm dog, their quarterhorses Bea snf Honry, and Chase the mini pony. He enjoys traveling, golf, homebrewing, and collegiate athletics in his spare time.
